Dr. Flannigan is a surgeon-scientist at the University of British Columbia. He is a prolific researcher working to develop novel therapies to treat male infertility and improve the quality of patient care. Dr. Flannigan has received numerous national and international research accolades and grant funding. His infertility research interests include investigating the genomic and molecular underpinnings of sperm production problems (i.e. azoospermia) and developing regenerative strategies to grow sperm through 3D bioprinting, as well as artificial intelligence strategies to identify and select rare sperm. Dr. Flannigan’s research program is interdisciplinary with esteemed collaborators from around the world.
